Just like Mary Poppins, tonight's task was Practically Perfect!
10 GoodGymmer's ran or cycled 6km to EACH store on Aylsham Road. In the build up to Xmas, the store are promoting their 'Perfect Gift' campaign this week - a selection of brand new boxed donations that have been received throughout the year.
The task was categorising items by colour / gender / children's gifts, and creating displays on designated shelves throughout the shop. In 1 hour we had emptied and arranged 8 large boxes full of gifts, well done team!
Lets hope the Perfect Gifts are snapped up quickly - all donations go towards ensuring the best possible quality of life, and making every moment count for children and families across East Anglia.

It might be a rainy day, but that didn't stop 17 GoodGymer's arriving at Norwich Foodbank.
Norwich foodbank supports local individuals and families through the provision of emergency food supplies. Nutritionally balanced emergency foodboxes can cover an individual or family’s basic needs for 72 hours: the critical time gap before other support services kick in.
Tonight there were a range of tasks. - Unpacking and organising cartons of milk, hot dogs & 'Savers' tomatoes into crakes. - Labelling and moving crates around the warehouse. - Checking dates and weighing items ready to be packed into food parcels.
Always a popular task, and great to see the 'before' and 'after' amounts achieved in an hour! Shout out to Robert for completing his first GoodGym session!
Good news - we will be returning again next month for more warehouse Jenga.

It was Quiz Night at Alfred Nichols Ct in Norwich.
There are limited activities or events available at this venue, so tonight's session gave local residents the opportunity to come together for a social evening.
With 14 GoodGymer's & 8 residents, we split into 4 teams, for rounds of London Facts, Marine life, Famous Faces & Music Intros! Shout out to Priscilla attending her first session.
Halfway through we stopped for refreshments - provided by Norwich City Council. And after a few contested answers... we announced the winning team this week 'Untold Stories'.
I'm pleased to learn it is in fact illegal to feed the birds in Trafalgar Square!
Well done everyone, we will aim to come back here soon.

Gemma earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Gemma completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Gemma was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Five GoodGymmers teamed up with a local community group aiming to create a wildflower meadow for next year. Some of us also did a Parkrun on the way to the task.
We arrived at Branford Road and were given the job of weeding and thinning out grasses within quite a large area. We got to work and had a fun morning chatting and also getting on with the task at hand. The hour and a half went by quite quickly in the sun, and we were pleased to help the group achieve their goals.
