Ten amazing GoodGymmers made their way to one of our regular tasks at Mind Charity Warehouse. Only 3 members had not visited here before, there was enough of us to show them the ropes. We were also joined again by Gwyn and Tracey from GoodGym Derby, always a pleasure.
The clothes sorting side of the room Lisa who is a pro at tagging (she's done it that many times), plus Ashley and Dawn were busy clothes sorting, checking and tagging getting stuck in.
Meanwhile Jimmy and Stu were in their fave corner sorting cd's and dvd's, could only just see Jimmy's wave for all the donations they were sorting through.
Nick, Dan (must be his running rest day from a 50 mile week with a little race on Sunday), Tracey and Gwynn, were book sorting with one of the books called Chris? Any way I could hear them all laughing so it must have been an interesting read. All followed by a cup of tea, not the quality Dave usually makes us, but it was hot.
Weldone GoodGymmers another task where more hands made for lighter work your efforts in the busy warehouse are always appreciated by the staff.

I framed two embroidered pictures (cherries and an owl) & mounted four little embroideries (teddies) onto greetings cards.
These had been donated to the Mind charity shop in an incomplete state & deserved to be presented at their best in order to sell.
I'll return them to the Mind warehouse at the GoodGym Leicester session tomorrow.

When we last volunteered at Mind, I spotted some cross stitch pictures and frames in the donation pile. I didn't think that anyone would buy them in their uncompleted state, so brought them home to finish them off.
A quick spin in the washing machine followed by a bit of ironing, stretching and stitching did the job.

Today 5 Goodgymmers met at the Mind Charity Warehouse to help tag quality donation items to supply their shops. We were given a quick training to make sure we knew the tagging rules, although everyone had been before some had ragged instead of tagged.
I congratulated Mel and Dave on their fantastic half marathon run in Cardiff last weekend, and with no suprise Mel is racing a 10km this Sunday.
Running legend Stu gave me some excellent racing tips about straight lining ahead of Chester Marathon on Sunday to make sure I don't run any extra distance and don't go off too fast else you'll be flagging on the hills!
Before we knew it we had tagged a full basket with a huge pile of clothes ready to supply the shops. Weldone team great to see you all.

First timer Kimberley joined us today on her first training run for London Marathon, fantastic news on your Ballot place after 14 years of trying!
Today's task was tagging, which Lisa and Kim made their way through the pile of clothes, tagging 3 baskets full. They both found the task quite therapeutic.
The boys we're in the play room sorting through bags of toys and checking all the game pieces.
I couldn't wait to ask Stu about his 5 mile running achievements this week
-5 mile pb on Saturday
