Hot Monday night, and 6 legends made their way to ARC. We welcomed Joe to his 1st Goodgym session. Some of us 🏃♂️ and the others just 🧙♂️ at the meeting point. Mission tonight was to water the fruit trees and the beds as very hot and the plants are in need of water. The team took the water from the water butt's and we had enough time to litterpick in the garden. Making our way back we collected rubbish in Canal Square where we found empty bottles of water, energy drinks, vodka, buzz balls and plastic bags of rubbish. Da Marcus was smiling alot : was it the laughing canisters he found? Two bags of rubbish where collected. wat-er session .

A busy Monday task as five GoodGymers set about watering all of the trees in Sunnyside Community Gardens.
A hosepipe ban is in place so this involved filling buckets and watering cans and using wheelbarrows to more easily reach the trees furthest away from the tap. I got a little bit wet in the process but all worth it. We worked well covering the majority of the space and then had a slow walk back to Nags Head. Thanks Eslam for organising.

The task owner Kubra gave us a warm welcome. Then it was time for tasking.
The majority of the group got on with turning over the woodchip floor while me and Lizzy got on with weeding under the climbing frame. We managed to cover half the space in the hour which is pretty good going.
Looking forward to finishing off the job next month!

Lovely Monday evening and the crew was back at Sunnyside for some composting action. The key master Eslam was here with his bunch of keys. First task was opening the container to get the tools out. Then the Fantastic 5 started moving compost from one area to another in order to air it. First pile moved, then it was time to overturn and move the massive dry pile to the other side of the wooden edge...dry pile so the Key Master had to use his magic keys to allow Hermione run the tap and spray some water on her fellow goodgymers and the compost. At this stage, the Key Master 🔑 had another trick with his other keys and went to show the GG Crew the other garden just across the road which was a direct impact of their Good deeds at Sunny Side. Then came the Thief's...sorry the siev came in action as Eslam demonstrated to curious children how to sepaarate the soil from the twigs etc. Future goodgymers ?

Steph led the run round the stadium and to the task. We were then met by Matt and Deirdre. A very friendly task owner who enthused about his car park-cum-allotment.
We all got stuck in with the compost heap, bagging up dry branches and pristine soil. We tackled most of the first heap before time was up. I'm sure we'll be back.
