Camden Report written by Alex Murtough (he/him)
9 GoodGymers caught some good deeding on the hottest night of the year!
The sun-seekers were out in full force in Camden on Wednesday evening, and our brilliantly altruistic group joined them with community purpose in mind!
This wonderful lot โ Alex, Denzel, Giulia (on their first good deed โ welcome!), Jackie, John, Lydia, Mariam, and Thierry โ met in Kentish Town to gift time and energy to the residents at Cressfield Close Sheltered Housing!
Together we:
๐ Decanted two large planters ready for fresh blooms this spring!
๐ Took out (roots and all!) enough weeds to fill a wheely bin!
๐ Raked out brambles and nettles leaving a hedgerow with the room to thrive!
๐ Spread โspent hopsโ to fertilise and enrich the sun-soaked soil!
Thank you, everyone! Hereโs to next time!

10 GoodGymers move an ENTIRE GREENHOUSE (!) in Camden!
I often think that many hands really can make light work...
...but sometimes...
I think the work really is too heavy!
Which is what my brain was thinking as I arrived at Cecil Sharp House yesterday evening, where I was met by the lovely and fabulous troupe of Al, Jackie, John, Karen, Lydia, Rose, Siobhan, Theo, and Thierry!
Our task was quite simple.
Pick up that big ol' greenhouse, walk it 60m, and put it down again (in addition to emptying and organising and refilling too!)
And before I could even murmur a hesitation this group were off and working, and just wonderful they were. Together they:
โค๏ธ Made exceptionally light work of this mammoth task!
โค๏ธ Left the greenhouse organised and tidy, and in a prime new position!
โค๏ธ Did even more by repacking two storage crates with heavy bags of gravel and soil!
And while some of the team did this Jackie and Siobhan were busy making a wonderful difference in Cecil Sharp's garden ๐ they collected leaves, strewn twigs, and litter ๐ transforming the lawn and pathways into (surely!) the tidiest green space in Camden :)
Thank you, everyone!

Lydia Crawford been to three different GoodGym areas.
A Tourist likes nothing better than exploring new areas and meeting new people, and that's what Lydia has been doing. Lydia has been to three different GoodGym areas now - nice!
Tuesday 24th February

Lydia Crawford completed 25 good deeds with GoodGym.
Lydia has already done 25 good deeds with GoodGym. Instead of doing anything else, they've used their run to go and help people that need their help; digging, lifting, scraping, clearing, planting and weeding. Stuff that makes this a better place to be.

Islington Report written by Lydia Crawford
The sun has finally remembered how to shine for Kevin and Lydia as they set out to help Mr M clearing some of his garden.
Mr M explained that he needed the ivy, brambles and weeds clearing from the sides of his garden, but wanted to make sure the ivy at the back of the garden was left as this has been home to a pair of robins for the past 8 years.
Kevin set to work with the rambling brambles whilst Lydia got to grips with the vining ivy. 90 minutes soon flew by as brambles were dissected, ivy was pulled and bags were filled.
Mr M wasn't the only one who was thankful for GoodGym's work as the robin came to say hello and inspect what was happening in his garden. He was very pleased to see the worms that had been uncovered - just in time for lunch!! GoodGym's visit meant a lot to Mr M who expressed his gratitude throughout the mission as his garden and outside space is a place he can relax in the summer months with a coffee and his robin friend.
