We need 6 volunteers for this Sunday session 2-4pm.

  • Please remember to bring your own gloves and wear facemasks at this task
  • If sharing tools please wipe down between uses
  • Adhere to social distsncing measures at all times

They haven't had much volunteer help over the last few months, so there is plenty to do.

Hope you can join us and say hello to the pigs, goats and cows again!

Help Get Free Bikes To NHS Frontline Staff

Tue 27 Apr 19:00 pm
14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW

Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.

Do good - Get fit

The Met Police are doing an amazing thing - giving 166 unrecoverable bikes to victims of bike crime from our frontline NHS.

Pro BIke Service CIC, friend of GoodGym Newham, are donating their time and expertise repairing the bikes, some in a terrible state, then gifting them over.

Here East, regular post task refreshment zone of GoodGym, are donating their time and space to store the delivered bikes and host the event.

Everyone is chipping in to help this worth cause.

GoodGym's Role

Helping move the bikes from Here East (not canal-side, round the back) to the lock up. Roughly a 250m stretch, some bikes will need to be carried, most will be wheeled.

This task may continue, dependent on if The Met get and gift more bikes.

Call Kirsty from Here East if you have any problems finding it: 07548225317

Gardening For Local Youth Charity

Sat 8 May 12:00 pm
Harley Grove, London, E3 2AT
Green-Fingered Relaxation

We've partnered up with Get Out, a charity that focuses on youngsters developing a relationship with nature. Plastic free campaigning, surfing experiences and permaculture education. This is a brilliant, worthy cause.

They manage a garden at Malmesbury Primary School in Tower Hamlets. Harvesting, planting, growing, building, weeding...there'll be a range of jobs on offer and perhaps some tips to develop your own cultivation skills.

"The founding goal of GET OUT is to use environmental education to strengthen the connection between Tower Hamlets' young people and the natural world. "

The knowledgeable Kieran will be there to offer instructions and permaculture/gardening tips.

This will be a GG only event, we'll keep a safe covid secure distance outdoors. The task is three hours, as there's a bit to do!

Kieran may have some goodies to take home so worth bringing a bag.
