Lewisham Report written by Kim
It's getting warmer, the evenings are light and that can only mean one thing in the GG Lewisham world - we're heading back to Luxmore Garden to keep the flower beds free of weeds!
It's an uphill run there but that does mean downhill on the way back and it is one of our shorter runs. You all handled the hill excellently!!
Our task at Luxmore was pretty simple, remove the weeds to keep the flower beds looking neat and tidy and to give the plants space to grow. The challenging part was identifying what was a weed as we didn't want a repeat of when we accidentally removed some ornamental grass...
It wasn't long because it was job done and time to head back to Glass Mill. Great work team!!

First task of the evening involved everyone! We had to move three water tanks to the other side of the garden. World's strongest GoodGymer (Ivar) moved one on his own and then the other two needed everyone, not that they had a metal frame and water in or anything!
Next on the list was moving some wooden pallets and then moving part of the compost pile onto them. And then the final task was digging and an area where the 100 sunflowers are going to be planted. We can't wait to see how great that looks later in the year.
After a quick tidy up of tools and a group photo it was time to head back to Glass Mill.

I'll be meeting you at the task. Which part of Ladywell fields is it?

Hi Louise, I sent an email with the location on earlier, did you not receive it? Meeting point is by the playground and close to the running track

No, but I think I worked out the issue. Thanks Kim!

Thursday 19th February

Alison Pike done 100 good deeds with GoodGym.
Alison has just reached another level: 100 good deeds with GoodGym. That's at least 100 times when they could have easily done something easier. But they didn't, Alison has kept going and going. Helping a lot of other people and getting a bit fitter at the same time. Congratulations Alison.
