Mission

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES (WELL A COUPLE OF HOURS)!

3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.

On another impossibly hot day Pauline, Sophie and Mat undertook the Good Gym Liverpool’s second mission and what a challenge it proved to be. The owners of the house had for various reasons not been able to look after their back garden for quite some time and Good Gym were called in to help out. As you can see from the “before” picture, the garden was in desperate need of some TLC. It was impossible for the owners to go out and enjoy the garden. The nettles and brambles had truly taken hold. And yet in about two hours the three of us had managed to clear the borders of all the weeds and mown the lawn and the owners are now able to enjoy the space. It is so satisfying to see the transformation not only of the garden but of the owners faces when they see what we do. And we have included a picture of the plant material we collected. There are now plans to collect this in order to make sure the owners have no worries about disposing of this. We cannot wait for mission number three.
