We (Kirsty, Brad and Hilary) ran a nice 5k to Mrs D’s house in the early morning sunshine, where we were tasked with clearing and tidying the garden, which had become overgrown by weeds and vines as it hadn’t been touched in several years. Her kitchen window and pond had been completely covered by overgrown foliage so we donned our gloves and got snipping, ripping, and dipping as we cleared away as much as possible. After 2 hours we had filled ELEVEN bags with garden waste so decided to call it a day, but after uncovering and revealing the kitchen window, light was able to pour back into the kitchen and Mrs D can now once again look out into her lovely garden which she informed us will be full of flowers in the spring. Go team!

Such a great thing to do for Mrs D, she can hopefully get some sun in today!
