First, I will like to say a big welcome back to Rachel. She was here a few years ago when Veron was the leader. Today we were in Westbury Nature Reserve helping to make the place a nice place to visit. There was 8 of us that took the trip to the Nature reserve. The scenic route was taken when we were running to the park as well as travelling up a little hill. As we reached the reserve, we was welcomed by Luke who asked us to do a little Jazz hands video of us running down the path for their twitter page. Check it out here. The teams had been split. One group was making a new path by doing a caterpillar walk though the bushes while laying down red markers to show the correct path way. The other group had rakes and was hacking away at a spot near the end of the path. Kapil seemed like he was enjoying himself very much and using the swing as a form of muscle building exercise. Kapil and Rita where getting their Bear Grylls on by trying the cherries they had had discovered laying around. Later, we were told not to due to contamination. Watch this space…. We learnt that many people tend to throw a lot of food from their back gardens in to the Nature reserve which then contaminates the edible plant life. On the way back, we did a fitness session in the park. It was an easy one with some dips, press-ups and planks. The group got rewarded with some play time in the playground with some of the runners going a bit wilder than others. As we got back we realised it was Global Running Day. Nurjehan and Cathrine participated in this and did their 5k runs.

Next week will be more running, so if you want to raise the mileage on your footwear then come on down.
