Three GoodGym runners braved the winter cold to help Ms M. Rupesh, Gosia, and I were tasked with moving a chest of drawers down a flight of stairs from the bedroom to a spare room.
Rupesh and I were eager to move it right away, but Gosia had the great idea to take out the drawers first to make it lighter and easier. We all got busy, removing the drawers and moving them to the spare room first before moving the chest which was now much lighter to carry. In no time at all, we had completed the task to the delight of Ms M’s daughter. There is now space for the orthopedic chair which has been ordered, and she can spend more time out of bed.
We had a quick chat with Ms M’s daughter, and Rupesh and Gosia gave her more information about GoodGym and how we work, and told her how to get in touch with GG again if they need more help in the future.
This was a mission which took very little of our time but made a big impact. We spent much less time on the task than we expected, but could tell how relieved Ms M’s daughter was that the chest of drawers had finally been moved and they could look forward to the arrival of the orthopedic chair. A mission well done!
