A tight knit eleven of us this week, teamed together to get our hearts a little pulsing, break up the working week and help a primary school that was until recently somewhat dilapidated.

We discussed the jolly time had at the last social, compared our productivity, or lack of the next day. Then remembered the last one of the month is in two weeks, a more relaxed affair it will be! Random question for this week was "favourite and least favourite underground lines?" . There was a theme throughout, DLR was a winner with its rollercoaster-esque qualities and the Central a loser for being, well a bit crap. With a few kidney shots on the Northern Line (to my dismay). Tim, answering a different question completely, dropped in his smooth mountainous ride through the Himalayas, hey, if only our commutes were such. Dan, romanticised about The Old Royal Post Office Line. With a 2 foot gauge, I personally wouldn't fancy that squeeze, Dan coming in at 6' 6" (probably) may have struggled.

Head torches and GPS devices turned on, we whipped down to Manorfield Primary. Moving furniture about firstly, large, heavy, awkward desks that had seemed to evolve a defence mechanism, to bash the hell out of all shin bones of those that dared pick them up. Then a bit of wood that had to be scrapped in the backyard. A vigorous workout pumping up about 30 footballs, Victoria and Graham looked like Pop Eye when they were done - PUMPED. To finish we did 10 mins of painting. That's a lovely chunk of work in a small half-hour window, all very much appreciated by Headmaster, Paul.

Running back to base, some of us did 10 x 10sec sprints. To re-awake those all important fast twitch fibres and speed up our return journey. Some good efforts along the darkly lit canal!

Nice one guys, great efforts. Next week we are down at the theatre to chip in, sign up

Have a good weekend and pack some running in there, you won't regret it, no one has ever regretted it.

Till next week
