Meeting R for the second time puts everything into perspective. Having lost his Mum and suffering from a mental health condition he has been on his own during lockdown. I was privileged therefore to be take another food hamper to him, which is a lifeline both in terms of nutrition and financially. I hope that people like this don't get forgotten when lockdown ends. At the suggestion of GG HQ I gave him the numbers for two local charities who might be able to offer him support. And I challenged him to cooking the vegetables I had dropped off. I noted that he still hasn't had his washing machine plumbed in, so hopefully that will get done soon as he has been without one for weeks now. A pleasure to meet you R.
