Jane and Ellie declared their novice gardener status and received a welcome lesson of “Weed, not weed” from the parks department before commencing the task. Jane had an excuse with it only being her third week with GoodGym, but Ellie really should be a more skilled gardener by now! We now all know what a sycamore tree looks like in its various seedling forms and can confirm they are very good at growing absolutely everywhere. We were very privileged to use brand new hoes to get the task done and a large section of bedding was cleared leaving room for more planting in the future. We got to hear all about the exciting plans for redevelopment of the park which is well underway. We finished up with a lovely cup of tea and biscuits in the sunshine.
