The advantage of doing a mission with you other half is having someone to run to the mission with. Kevin and I took a gentle run from home through Forest Gate to Manor Park.

We previously helped Miss D in January 2020 as part of a group mission but today it was just me and Kevin under the watchful eye of Maurice the Pug,

Miss D has sadly not been able to safely access her garden due to several of her shrubs becoming overgrown as due to injuries she is no longer able to tend to the garden herself.

Miss D wants to be able to get out and sit in her garden so Kevin and I prioritised getting the area near the back door clear and then move further into the garden if time allowed.

Tools easily located and I set to work cutting back the cherry tree which was almost touching the back door while Kevin cleaned the area leading to the shed before tackling the overgrown shrubs further along the garden.

We finished off cutting back and dead heading a rose brush and removing sycamore shoots which had started to grown by the house.

6 bags of green refuse bagged ready for the council to collect. Maurice seemed happy with the work !
