Report written by Sevan
Dave from mission control had suggested that Kash and Sevan would have an easy mission to round out the weekend. Mrs J had asked for help to rake up and bag the leaves in her back garden.
Mrs J's daughter led them to the back garden and sure enough, it wasn't too big and most of the leaves were on the grass, so rakes would be perfect for the job. Mrs J's daughter then handed the pair a garden waste bag and 2 brooms. What, no rakes? This suddenly seemed harder than Kash and Sevan initially thought. Once they got going, they saw that the grass was artificial and the brooms were perfect for the job. It was like combing through hair.
Kash took on the left side of the garden and Sevan the right, dancing around with their brooms to comb the leaves out of the grass. On both sides, they found extra complications. On Kash's side, there was a tree next door dropping more leaves, meaning that Kash could never hit full, leaf free completion. On Sevan's side, he kept hearing the tinkling of screws as he brushed the leaves off the "grass" and onto the paving, finding more than 15 in total. They wouldn't want to find their way into future compost bags, so they were carefully removed.
Even with the extra work, the task was fairly straightforward (well done Dave!) and was finished in 45 minutes, before the clouds over London let loose the rain that'd been forecast for the afternoon.
