4 GoodGym runners met in the familiar territory of the Coventry Canal Basin for a socially distanced litter pick.

Our first challenge was to sort out our bin bags and put the hoops on, tricky when it is blowing a gale!

We made our way down to bridge 3 and met our friends the swan family (first mentioned in https://www.goodgym.org/reports/we-had-a-swanderful-time-on-the-canal ) The cygnets are now almost all grown up and their parents are far less hissy, and they seemed to be practising their formation swimming as they followed us back down the canal.

We picked the usual rubbish, including bottles, cigarette ends and sweet wrappers, and filled 4 bags with litter which may have otherwise caused harm to swans, other animals and humans that all make use of this popular walking route.

We finished our evening with a quick selfie by a lovely mosaic of the canal and a local history lesson (James Brindley-look him up).
