Gordon from the King's Pathway tasks in Acomb has a side project on Monk's Stray, reforesting the extremely boggy unmown meadow. He had 160 teeny tiny trees for us to plant, of various types.

It was quite tricky to get through the layer of matted grass, but once the breakthrough was made the bog underneath made quite delightfully squelchy noises. With no tree guards it was quite hard to spot the newly planted trees, but hopefully none got squashed underfoot (like the patriarchy 😉). In no time at all we had finished, and Gordon was very pleased!

Laura had also brought a box of leaflets for York's International Women's Week which we distributed between ourselves for onward cafe-and-workplace placing.
