Here's what Mrs B of KT4 had to say about the mission:

'Thanks so much to the runners who came to help, they did a great job in the heat!' - Miss B

Mrs B of KT4, mission beneficiary

A very hot Saturday morning saw to GG missioners head to Worcester Park to help out Mrs B with her garden. We had a late start due to various public transport and bicycle issues, but Mrs B was very understanding and set us to work on weeding and hedge trimming duty.

What seemed like a relatively manageable task was deceptively major, we realised, as the weeds in the driveway were as stubborn as they were numerous and the hedge was more work than initially estimated.

Disaster struck towards the end as the very nice lightweight shears broke on a thick branch in the hedge (oops) but we called GG HQ who told us they were insured for incidents like that!

We finished as much as we could and had a quick chat with Mrs B before we left, and headed off for a very hot run/cycle, satisfied with the work we did with our Saturday morning.
