Smooth(ie) service and clever water at ESK Monday takeaway

Monday Ealing Soup Kitchen takeaway service. I, Stephducat cycled to the 1st service and met Emma, Rebecca, Tim and the team at the Salvation Army Hall. Emma arrived with a car full of clothes that needed to be given out later. Usual start with putting up tables, getting the massive box of bars out for the snack bags, preparing the correct number of plastic bags. As we were waiting for the groceries to arrive, we all started sorting the clothes by sizes and gender on the tables, not forgetting to put size labels on them. Today size did matter : loads of mens trousers and shirts, but what sizes? XXXL, XXL was the winner today. Marvin from City Harvest London arrived with loads of goodies for us to unload and get ready for the bags. For a change, we had loads of drinks : alot of smoothies and water but clever water as mentioned on the labels! Is there "stupid water"? We were going "bananas" when preparing the snack bags 🤣🤣. We prepared 90 snack bags with snacks bars, drinks, fruit and snacks. Can you believe that we emptied the chocolate/protein bars today? Yes, yes, but we found more in the cupboards so we refilled the box. Once all the bags were completed, we got ready for the service and waited for the food that was being delivered today...no cooking for Steph and Rebecca today. Food arrived and we opened the doors. As Sevan arrived for the 2nd shift, he took over from me at the men's clothing section.
