#Small Park Big Run 2020
31 GoodGymers made their way in a race in Sheffield.

Great team spirit was once again shown by GG Sheffield by taking part in Small Park Big Run and completing a 24 hr relay of runners and walkers (and the occasional cycle) to cover the full event - 12:00 noon Saturday to 12:00 noon Sunday.
Rather than the usual meet up in Meersbrook park for 1 km loops, and setting up of the gazebo to shelter runners and supporters, this year the event went virtual to maintain social distance compliance. Although we missed the big team photos and hugs, we kept each other motivated through running in pairs and small groups when we could and sharing photos and messages throughout the event including virtual passing on of the batten.
GGers were seen far and wide in all parts of Sheffield, the Peak District, and even in Bristol and the Lake District; and throughout the day many bumped into each other while running and supporting Daiana and Celine complete their EPIC individual 24 hr endurance challenges.
Did I not mention that! Celine AKA The Machine and Daring Daiana started on Friday and ran and walked for 24 hrs covering 113 km and 85 km respectively. This is even more an achievement considering Daiana's maximum distance previously was 19 km - what an inspiration.
In total as a team we covered an amazing 742 km (461 miles), and through the entry fee helped raise funds for womens education and childrens charities in Gaza, Palestine.
