Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Ho ho ho! It's Scrapstore time again!
After our last run there, we were eager to head back again for more sorting, sawing, unscrewing and scrappy fun... we were not let down! 14 of us met up at the Folk House and merrily made our way out to St Werbergs and the wonderful Santa's Grotto that is the Scrapstore.
Our task was to cut spare thread from cardboard tubes, dismantle more telephones, take the legs off chairs, cut some fabric and also cord in to lengths, and sort out yet more phones! What is it about phones?
Needless to say we set to it like a gang of elves in Father Christmas's workshop. Whilst we didn't complete the task (if you'd seen the bin of old office phones or the many boxes of water damaged mobile handsets you'd understand that this is a task that's almost too big for Good Gym!) we did get a lot done. As a Christmassy reward, we were given some strips of green, red and gold fabric and were allowed to dress ourselves up in festive colours for our run back. A few took it to another level and fashioned mustaches and beards out of discarded threads too... you know who you are, you big kids!
Because it was quite a long run and we had such a lot to do at the Scrapstore, sadly there was no time for any drills (I'm sure you're all gutted!) so we headed back to the Folk House... it did try and rain on us a little but the Gods of Good had a word with the Weather Gods and they relented after about 10 minutes. Phew!

We can enjoy the “sunny” bank holiday and the cemetery will be lovely for everyone
