Instead of staying at home this rainy Wednesday night, 6 Goodgymmers came out to do a good deed! Sam was still on holiday, so I filled in his (running) shoes again. Following his tradition, we had an icebreaker question with the task. Thursday was World Philosophy day, so the question that I chose this week was: What philosophy do you live by?

“Do good”

We had a range of answers, some jokey (“Live Laugh Love”!), wholesome (“Do good”) and then perhaps mine was too serious (“Life is meaningless..”).

This week, we had two tasks. Firstly, we needed two people to do some flyering in the Elmington estate area - Emma and Daryl bravefully volunteered to do this even though the rain was very heavy. The rest of us went to Camberwell Salvation Army to help disinfect children’s toys.

Emma, Daryl, Nelly and I ran to Camberwell together via (ahem) my flat, since I’d forgotten to bring the leaflets. Luckily, it was not too much of a detour, and even avoided the hill which I was secretly pleased about! 😉

We met Ben and Lindy at the task. Lindy had already got stuck in, and had also brought out all of the toys for us so that we could get started quickly, thanks Lindy! 🙌 Ben did some excellent posing, when I came round to take photos. Catherine, the task owner from the Salvation Army, put on some 90s workout music for us as we got to work.

Finally, we ran back to Old Spike. The rain was pouring down by then, I was happy that we made it back without drowning, even though some of the puddles were very big!
