Mission

Raking it in!

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.

  • Lauren Kent

The sunniest day on the calendar so far - the best day for a spot of gardening. Mind you it wasn't the easiest house to find in a maze of estates. Felt a little like we were in the Labyrinth. (We eventually got there)

Myself and Lauren were greeted by a very cheerful and friendly Ms. M who needed a bit of help sorting out her back garden. She showed us the shed with all the tools and we got to work. Ms. M offered us drinks - tea in 27 degree heat isn't really my thing! We had a good natter together while cutting back the hedges and trimming the Ivy. We raked all the trimmings into a pile and gathered them up into bin bags. Ms M came out into her garden and was so thankful for clearing the hedges - she even thanked the hedges themselves!! :D

We helped Ms. M bring the bin bags to the main bins down rather alot of steep steps. With that we said our goodbyes and off we went!

Well done both - sounds like it was a mission just finding the place, so well done on everything ! (for the record, I think you both deserve more thanks than the hedge)
