We came we dug,we sowed and we scattered !

Absolutely fantastic work tonight team. The feel good vibes just seem to get better every week.

After a brisk trot east along the seafront we met up with Peter from Adur Worthing and park ranger Duncan and set to work digging up the old dried up bed of bamboo. This put a whole new meaning into the phrase 'putting your back into it' when Gill completely loaded her whole body onto the fork!

Thank you to Mark from the Splashpoint team who helped enormously by watering the bed with the hose that miraculously appeared.

We also had a guest appearance from our mini GG new recruit Fernando who was our technical advisor on the finer points of pulling out roots.

After the hard bit we 'put the icing on the cake' with a layer of top soil followed by our signature GG 'team sea gull' impression of stomping . This was followed by the sowing of the wild flower seeds.

We then set off on a 5k run along a very sunny prom with lamp post speed efforts followed by strength training along the way. Big cheer to Martin who we welcomed back to GG after his marathon adventure ! Also Beth and Belinda for their energy tonight .Wow you 3 owned those sprints ! Also fantastic running Karina in your new shoes on only your second run with us.

This task seemed to create a lot of smiling faces this evening. We turned a bed of bamboo into what we hope will flower into a Splashpoint meadow mix.

Part 2 next week when we will finish attack the other 2 beds . Belinda suggest we split into teams . Oooo errr I feel a GG competition coming on ! Hope to see you all there 'Team Worthing'
