Lambeth

Mission

Nice two metre, two metre nice!

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.

After ringing Ms T to double check her list, it turned out I needed to double check her address as she was actually self-isolating at her mother's! Thankfully, it was still within my running-mile budget, so we were still go.

When I arrived at Sainsbury's, there was a mammoth queue but I got behind my chalk line and slowly shuffled forward, two metres at a time. To be honest, since the start of the epidemic, I've found food shopping very stressful to the point of anxiety (there's always this fear that I'm going to somehow sporadically spread the virus and that I shouldn't be there), but this was the first time I've felt calm amongst the queueing chaos - the magic of GoodGym and giving it purpose!

Once inside, I grab everything on the list apart from the ever-elusive eggs and then dropped the bag outside Ms T's Mum's door, knocked, stood two metres back and then was waved on my way - running home with a smile on my face.
