Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Last night an intrepid group of us braved the rain and headed off to Stepney City Farm to enjoy the privilege of coming into close proximity with a wide variety of animal waste. Hooray!
After a nice run there (during which it promptly stopped raining for the rest of our adventures - thanks weather!), we split into three groups: the first to turn a ginormous steaming pile of compost, the second to move compost via exciting wheelbarrow races from one pile to another, and the third to scrape chicken 'waste' off railings in the barn.
The third group seemingly drew the short straw but actually got to hang out with the world's most adorable kitten, and the first two groups faced some seriously impressive smells but got the job done in the end (...or at least some part of it - there's always more compost!). Thanks as ever to our lovely host Simon!
For those wanting to get more involved in the farm pop Simon an email - simon@stepneycityfarm.org
As a generous reward for all our hard work, Tom gave us a belated Christmas present: hill sprints! We did a few of this at our usual haunt in Mile End Park before heading back to base via the canal. Great work everyone!
