Today I met up with Anne, Becky, and Kapil for a mission in Islington for Ms J.

Ms J has recently had some central heating problems that's to be sorted by the council re-laying the pipework in her house. This has meant opening up her loft rooms, which revealed a plethora of items that she wanted to get rid of. As this would be very difficult for her to manage by herself, GoodGym were asked if we could help out.

After saying hello to Ms J and being shown up a couple of steep flights of stairs, we got started.

Our first action was to split up into two groups to move items more efficientlu. Two GoodGymmers removed things from the loft rooms to the hallway on a floor below, while the remaining GoodGymmers took those items down a further flight of stairs and out the door.

While I can't comment on the lofty actions of the pair on the higher level, I can tell you that Becky is a very effective Supreme Commander of Packing and that I make an very effective door stop. Whatever any of us did, though, it was obviously effective as we were finished within just 20 minutes.

With four keen GoodGymmers still on hand, Ms J asked us if we would mind rearranging some of the furniture in the loft rooms. We were more than happy to help, especially after discovering that a lot of the furniture being moved was on wheels!! [Apparently it's a long term aim of Ms J's to add wheels to most of her furniture. However, when questioned, she was less keen on adding some to her shoes to make fake Heelys].

This furniture translation was also accomplished quickly, leaving us completely finished within 40 minutes of our start time (which also included an inspection of an extensive Lego collection). Ms J was so happy, she asked if she could take a photo of us to prove to her friends that we really existed! We obliged and threw in some jazz hands for free 😉

With more Friday night time to kill (you can tell that we're cool cats), we headed to a nearby community mission to round off our evening with some plogging. 😎

Thanks for making tonight so easy guys, and I'll probably see a lot of you guys tomorrow for more GoodGym! 😄
