Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Elizabeth
Before I write about what we did tonight, I'd just like to make it clear that Oliver is beyond a force of nature. Despite only getting mission verified just over a week ago, he's already been on three missions, and met up with me tonight in Islington for his fourth! Awesome stuff! 🎉🤜
Tonight our job was to help Ms S by clearing some of the greenery in her back garden (I hesitate to call it grass). Before I could say that Bob's my second cousin, twice removed (and not, in fact, my uncle), Oli had already cut down half of the garden using a trusty pair of loppers before I'd woken up enough from work to remember to take "before" pictures 😅 This is pretty much the only pitfall of working with such a lean, keen, trimming machine.
With Oli storming the undergrowth with more power than a Dyson vacuum and me clearing up after him faster than a panicked Aldi shopper at the checkout, we continued on for another hour or so, garnering about 9 bags of green waste in the process.
At the end of the time, Ms S popped out and we chatted for a few minutes before making our goodbyes. It was good to hear her talk about about the visits of a friendly squirrel named Cecil, as my only other experience of squirrels in Islington was distinctly less pleasant. It was also lovely to be gifted a bottle of wine by Ms S as we made our goodbyes as a thank you for our work: It was much appreciated! 😄
Great working with you Oli; you made my job super easy! 😄👍
