Mission

Just a drop, skip and a dump...

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.

A follow up mission for Mrs K saw Jo and I shifting a skip load of rubbish in an hour and a half!

Mat and I had already made a start, moving about half of the detritus from the back garden to the front, so that is where we started.

Over the next hour or so, the skip slowly filled with everything from garden ornaments, plant pots and tools to crockery, glasses, a tent and a dismantled trampoline.

This had obviously once been a well used and well tended garden, but ill health, bereavement and limited mobility had resulted in a rapid decline. Hopefully, now that a start has been made, the momentum will continue and the space can be enjoyed once more.

At last, the garden was empty and the skip was full. There is still some way to go before Mrs K and her son can once again enjoy sitting out in the sunshine, but at least now you can actually see the garden.

A big shout out to Jo, for putting in some hard labour straight after having her second jab...well done, Jo...that's commitment for you.
