It was the second and final day of the National Running Show and Jog On once again needed our help emptying the giant perplex containers at the entrance to show which had been filled by attendees donating their old shoes. Some were not so old at all - we saw many brand new pairs which alongside all the others would be given to children and adults who might otherwise be unable to afford running kit.

We took apart the giant collection boxes and watched the shoes tumble out before packing them away into boxes.

A scary fact is that soles from shoes can take up to 1000 years to decompose so it was great to be able to give all these a new life.
