After agreeing on a meeting point, Emma, Lucy & Mikey were set. From here the group ran together to meet Mrs. O at her house, she was very happy to see us and we had a lovely chat. Her garden already looked so different to the last time GoodGym were there, both Lucy and Emma have been there before.

Mrs. O handed us some tools, hedge shears, secateurs and a garden lopper and so we got to work. With our head torches burning bright we lopped and chopped, Lucy and Mikey were with the larger tools whilst Emma tried her hand with the secateurs.

A lovely neighbour passed by, checking who we were he then recognised that GG had been here before. As the mess 'branched' out onto the pavement Lucy downed tools and began to clear up, whilst Emma and Mikey lopped and chopped some more.

Emma continued on the one end, fighting the brambles as well as a cold, good on her for still coming to help. Mikey fighting the thorns on the other side, got enthralled with the whole thing as he found the back of the fence.

Some of the larger brambles were a thorn in our sides as Lucy was attacked from all sides. Somehow simultaneously tangling in her hair, on the back of her coat and under her arm, like something from The Night of the Triffids.
Lucy, wearing all of the gloves to handle the thorns, filled multiple bags but as quickly as she did we created more. After an hour and a half, we called it a night, put the tools away an attempted a selfie.

I'm sure that we will be finding our way to Mrs. O again soon..........
