I arrived at Mrs A’s house in the car- a little late as it took so long to defrost! She met me at the door and we had a brief chat as she gave me her list. As I left to run to Iceland supermarket the temperature was -3degrees so I was looking forward to a nice warm walk around the shop! I ran mostly along the roads (keeping an eye out for traffic of course) because the pavements were soooooo slippery with ice.

I found almost everything on Mrs A’s list, taking my time so my hands and face had time to defrost before I set off again! After I had paid I walked back to Mrs A’s house with her shopping bags and we had another lovely chat on her doorstep as I handed over the food and receipt, wishing each other a Happy New Year when I left.
