Home is Where The Art Is

Had a home visit to Mrs J. today, and while waiting for the kettle to boil I noticed this painting on the wall in her hall. Mrs J explained that she had painted it many years ago and was surprised how much I liked it. So we spent a lovely afternoon talking about her art and that she had inherited her talent from her dad. She proudly pointed out all the paintings by her dad that were hung around her home. It bought back lots of memories for her while we sat and chatted over a cuppa and a piece of home made cake that I had bought with me.
