This is the second time I have been to help J with her shopping. She is struggling to cope with lockdown and feels particularly lonely so it was great to be able to spend a half hour with her, albeit socially distanced and wearing a mask. She is very perceptive although her short term memory is not great. She said that at least when she was a child in the war she could get out and about. With this virus she is stuck in her flat for months on end. At least I was able to buy her some shopping and at the end of the Mission she was laughing. So, I am hoping that this small act of kindness will help her to eat and she will have had a bit of a laugh along the way.
