H-edging our way towards a greener borough

Well that was a quintessentially satisfying GoodGym good deed – a fresh air full-body work out, loads achieved for the environment and humanity, and all in lovely company. Cat and Linda joined Bromley’s Friends of Alex Rec for a busy morning digging, wheelbarrowing and composting – pausing for a minute’s silence to remember Armistice Day – then more digging and weeding. This was to prepare trenches for planting a new section of hedgerow which will enhance the park for wildlife and for the community, as well as contributing to carbon capture as the saplings grow.
