Last night we headed out towards Poplar to visit Greening Brownfield - the gardening project at Carradale House .11 of us headed out from York Hall going South through Stepney, passed Mile End Stadium and down passed Bartlett Park towards Poplar.  With Balfron Tower in our sites we  finished the last kilometre with the group still intact and arrived at the community garden ready to get on with it.We were met by Clive who had prepared two laminated pieces of paper with a load of instructions on them for things to do,  he then marched about the next 40mins telling us what to do.  We shifted a greenhouse across the site, hacked down a tree, moved a shed, weeded the ground, moved some rubble and painted some planters.  It was more than we'd thought we'd manage. For the way back we took a slightly longer route along the Limehouse Cut and until we hit Limehouse Basin - we then headed North up the Regent's canal to Roman Road and back to York Hall.  The group was quite stretched out at this stage but we all managed to make it back to York Hall in one piece.  It was a total of 12.5km, making it our longest group run ever.  Is this too long or would you like to do more?
