GoodGym Islington have the edge

This week seven GoodGymers gathered at Barnsbury Square Gardens to do some work for Friends of Barnsbury Square Gardens (FOBSG) and then headed off to the Emirates for a time trial. FOBSG aim to make Barnsbury Square a welcoming, green space for the whole community. They do so with the help of residents and volunteers like us!

One group set to work edging the border of a large flowerbed in the centre of the square and the other raked leaves from the beds around the fence. The second job involved giant hands (see pictures) which never fails to amuse. After a good half an hour Lucy from FOBSG was delighted with the job we had done so we laid down our tools, had some much needed water and a group photo to show off our work.

Then we headed off to the Emirates Stadium for a one lap time trial. Everyone did a smashing job, particularly given the heat. Apologies in advance, my maths on the evening was not quite up to scratch but
