Last Saturday following a successful stint of mashalling at nearby Catton park, some Norwich Goodgymers carried on with some more good work in the community of NR3.

Despite my best efforts to sabotage the whole thing with dodgy map upload and even putting task on the wrong day, We somehow met on site at 10:30am and met some of the local community group, to find out a bit about the area

A bright sunny day made for a happy positive hour in improving the area around the Shipstone Park which had fallen into some neglect over the years

Elizabeth and Jenny wasted no time at all in cutting back the entrance to the park which had become overgrown. Nicole and Kim swept and weeded the pathway to give it a real makeover. After seeing goodgym in action even some passers by chipped in with helping removing litter from the shrubs.

Steve helped with digging and preparing the round beds that had fallen into disrepair . It is hoped these can now be dotted with wildflower mixtures. As the day warmed up lots of bees strarted populating the colourful shrubs outside the park

The hour flew by and the locals could hardly believe how much nicer the whole area looked!

Everyone was super pleased with goodgym and we all then parted ways to enjoy the rest of the weekend.

lovely stuff. xx
