We returned to one of our favourite spots in Bristol for this week’s Saturday run- Bramble Hill Farm in South Bristol.

We met as usual on Saturdays at Roll for Soul and then after a quick introduction set off through Queens’ Square, St Mary Redcliffe Church, the Banana Bridge and to Victoria Park. After powering up the hill we left 3 goodgymers at the park to help move some turf, and the rest of the group carried on to the farm.

Since we last visited the farm they have restocked with lots of animals, including pigs, sheep, goats, ducks and hens. So after a quick tour of the farm we got stuck into the task.

This week’s task had two elements, one to demolish a turkey shed and one to dig a trench alongside a fence so that it could be fox proofed. We split into two groups and worked really hard to get everything done.

We headed back down the hill, found the rest of the group who seemed suspiciously relaxed, and headed back to Roll for the Soul. The whole group did great sticking together on a hilly run, we smashed it!
