Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Flo
This was my first time visiting an older person referral, but I hope it won't be my last.
The lovely Ms M let me in, and I also got to meet another Ms M - the cat. The human Ms M asked me if I was the resident GoodGym tech expert. It was then I realised this mission might be more difficult than I thought, as I am very far from being the resident GoodGym tech expert, in any shape or form.
The mission was a partial success. Did I get the Robot Hoover to hoover the living room and hallway? Yes. Did I get the Robot Hoover to use the second of its 2-in-1 functions to mop the kitchen floor? Yes. But did I get any closer to making the Robot Hoover easier to use or understanding the instructions? No. Ms M seemed happy with the results though, and felt empowered to try out YouTube tutorial videos, saying that learning how to do things herself gave her confidence and made her happy.
The last jobs were to empty the Robot Hoover's bin, and return it to the 'dock' to charge. I said goodbye to Ms M and returned to my own 'dock' (a coffee shop) to charge.
