Delivering News To An Isolated Older Person

This was a last minute Mission. Sometimes the simple tasks can have the biggest impact and so it was with this one. K wanted some newspapers delivered and so I bought them and took them over. The smile on K’s face when I turned up with them made my week.

K has severe physical limitations at the moment so to bring his papers to him and to see him smile and chat with him is what makes volunteering worth while. And to help out I’m going to do it all again tomorrow.
