If it looks like a weed, grows like a weed, and spreads like a weed, then it probably is a weed. - Unnamed GoodGymer

'Oh, no, thank you', said Miss A when she saw us. Slightly confused, we unzipped our jackets to flash our GoodGym t-shirts that helped us explain who we were. Miss A quickly recalled she was expecting volunteers, and then decided which of her gardens we were going to work on. Her preference was the larger back garden. She guided us through her house to the basement level, where we encountered a tabby cat relaxing in a cosy cat bed. We unlocked the entrance to the backyard. The place was overtaken by one particular kind of weed whose name was a mystery to us. The plant grew in flower beds, in plant pots, between the paving slabs, in plastic bags, everywhere. It looked like a tough one that would survive even in space!

Miss A went back inside her house to find the tools for us. Soon after, she called Kash over to help move around some bags in search of gardening equipment. All they found was a spade and a hoe, recently delivered to Miss A. The lady told Kash some tools might be in the shed, then decided to continue looking for the missing tool bag in the house. In the meantime, Sevan already started working on the flowerbed, pulling bindweed with his hands. Just after Kash found a trowel and a small fork in the shed, Miss A arrived triumphantly with more tools. The team had all they needed to make a difference!

Sevan started digging out the dandelions from between the paving slabs with a small handheld tool, and Kash got herself busy scraping off the moss. Both soon discovered that the hoe was very effective against everything found on the surface of the paving, so Kash took care of wiping the weeds off the ground while Sevan moved onto the flowerbeds. Each of the duo encountered the ubiquitous obscure weed on their path. Sevan ruthlessly ripped it off the beds, and Kash scraped it off the paving and removed it from the plant pots.

After 90 minutes, three big green bags were full of garden waste, primarily the unnamed enemy plant. While the GoodGymers emerged victorious from the battle against that weed, its name remained a mystery. It is still left to be uncovered by the future generations of GoodGymers who will visit Miss A's garden to dispatch the remains of the enigmatic invader into history.
