Lovely sunny Saturday afternoon arrived at Mrs V. back garden and was welcomed by a little furry friend, Mrs V’s dog who was very affectionate and did not bark at me once, he just wanted to help.

Mrs V and I combined our efforts to build a complicated black compost bin without breaking any plastic fastenings, I think that is why our furry friend ran off with the screwdriver!

The overgrown compost heap contained within metal panels needed:

-a wheely bin of weeds removed

-a bucket of potatoes wildly growing removed, again I had help hand from my fluffy friend helping me dig these out

-decanting compost into the new black compost bin and 12 black bags

-but still leaving the third of the compost heap behind (see picture)

I think Mrs V was pleased that slowly her garden is becoming more manageable for her, on her own. Would love to go back and complete the process with my new fluffy friend.
