Buckets of fun

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.

Steph and I set out this morning, despite all the rain, to help Mrs J with her garden. Mrs J was well prepared with new tools laid out ready for us.

We started off clearing the weeds which revealed more and more buckets, seemingly endlessly. These came in handy eventually for piling all the weeds into for easy transfer to the bin!

Under the weeds we discovered other treasures, including several footballs, a clothes hanger and a canopy.

We soon realised the task was too big to finish in one go. So we decided to focus on the front half. We cleaned it up, chopped back brambles and hawthorns, and freed the tables and chairs from weeds.

Then began the logistical challenge of transferring all the rubbish and garden waste to the big communal bins. To keep the house clean, Steph removed and put back on her shoes so many times we lost count!

Now Mrs J van sit in her garden again and enjoy the sun when it decides to show up again.
