The mission, set by Care and Repair, was to help Mr C with his roller blind. The blind needed to be fixed in order to provide him with privacy. Privacy is a basic human need, and invasion of privacy can have serious psychological and emotional consequences, including paranoia, anxiety, depression and broken trust.

GoodGymmer Sean travelled to Mr C's house by train, jogging to and from the stations.

Sean was greeted by Mrs C, who showed him to the faulty blind. As advised, out of consideration for older people, Sean wore a face covering and maintained social distancing where possible.

The pully cord had detached from the control mechanism. Sean detached the roller section to access the mechanism, then fed the cord back into the it, before clicking the roller back in place. To finish, Sean put a temporary fix in the broken cord (a connector clip would be required to fix it neatly).

Sean gave Mrs C a demo of the now-functioning blind. after which she thanked him and GoodGym for the help provided.
