After the storm comes… a good run!

Five Woking GoodGymers, Wayne, Maya, James, Anne and Adam, met at Woking park to marshal the 150th event of junior parkrun. Wayne’s daughter was there too as one of her tasks for the DofE bronze award.

We all had different “duties” and were delighted to cheer, as well as the children, Alys who was undertaking a local landmark virtual 10K.

A total of 83 children ran 2K; the fastest time recorded was 00:08:06:05; the last recorded time was: 00:20:39:60. Quite impressive don’t you think?

Congratulations to all the GoodGymers who have contributed to the GoodGym Strava challenge: 1,000 kilometres under our trainers and still one week to go!

This coming Wednesday we will meet at Woking Leisure Centre and head to Woking Park where we will place some woodchips in the woodland area used by parkrun. Remember your torches!

In the meantime: keep running!
