Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Sevan
Today's first Ms P wanted to improve her flat and was keen to do small jobs herself. Moving furniture was too strenuous though, particularly after a recent operation, so the GoodGym lift & shift team, Kash & Sevan, offered to help.
The first item to move was a dresser across from one living room wall to the other. A path was cleared and the dresser was slowly slid across the floor, ending up tightly positioned against a skirting board on one side and millimetres from a wall light on the other.
In the bedroom, a set of drawers that was sitting in the middle of the floor also needed to be moved. Ms P needed access to all sides of it as well as a nearby wall to apply anti-mould treatment to them. With the drawers relocated and clearances checked on each side, another task was ticked off Ms P's list.
Finally, Ms P mentioned that she hadn't had light in her hallway for a few months after a leak from the neighbour above. Kash refitted the cover of the light fitting and screwed in a lightbulb, illuminating the hallway at the flick of a switch. This was one of the areas where Ms P had been carrying out self-improvements and the bright light meant that she could now see where her paint brush had missed.
Despite finding out that she had repainting to do, Ms P was incredibly grateful for the help from GoodGym.

Next up for the lift & shift team was Ms P number 2.
