A real glove for gardening

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.

Two goodgymers - who simply couldn't resist the opportunity for some gardening - introduced themselves to Mrs W and were prepped for the task ahead of them.

We arrived, with gloves at the ready, to an array of tools to tackle an overgrown garden. Over the next 75 mins we proceeded to prune, push aside and sweep away everything that was out of place. In no time at all we had cut back the rose bushes and intruding ivy and revealed the buried pathway underneath.

Mystery find:

To our surprise we found , hidden amongst the bushes, a broom which Mrs W explained had been lost for quite some time!

Our work happened to pique the interest of the neighbour's cat, who tried to steal food from the house whilst our backs were turned . Fortunately Mrs W anticipated this just in time and managed to chase the cat away.

Overall we had a productive evening and Mrs W was very pleased with what we had managed to do in such a short space of time.

Give some cheers to Kat for her first mission!
