Mission

A Lidl queues a long way

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.

A lovely warm day for a lunchtime run down to Brixton! The lovely Mrs F had written me a nice clear list, with the priority items helpfully underlined. It was with some trepidation that I noted the amount of water and juice she wanted (x6 bottles/ cartons ) and prepped my tiny arm muscles for some hard work!

I jogged on down to Lidl, where an epic snakey queue was reaching around the carpark and down the road. Queueing in the sunshine ain't a bad way to spend your Wednesday lunchtime, but queueing next to a big park where a man is mowing the grass is (hello hayfever!).

Narrow aisles made for a lot of people-dodging to keep 2m apart, but I managed to find everything Mrs F. wanted and load up what felt like about 50kg of bottles and cartons before speed-walking back to her flat. She was very grateful to Goodgym of course, and I had a nice sunny run back home, stopping into my local Tesco for a sneaky 75p Easter egg on the way to celebrate.

Great work and a much deserved egg-stra bonus for yourself.
