Run to the 02

We had a small group this week- so we took to the streets for a long run-covering 10-11k along the Thames Path. It's a nice run, in the shadow of the bright lights of Canary Wharf, and Alex and I shot the breeze, discussing the state of world athletics and the current drug scandals....hard hitting stuff!

Speed Weed

On the way home we stopped off to help tidy a small plot of land near the Greenwich Yacht Club. The Friends Of Greenwich Society asked us if we could start helping tidying this area up. It's a bit of a mess round here- compared to the area just west of the 02 which has been landscaped by developers. It's a lovely vista but not in its current state. We will make an effort over the next few months to get it tidy and start planting with the help of the council. Should be a cracking area by the Spring.

It was hard work in the dark (note to self- bring more headtorches) but we managed to fill up a big bin with weeds between the two of us!
